A few years ago, I found myself in a hospital bed, facing an incurable cancer diagnosis while also grappling with multiple fractures in my spine. It was during this incredibly difficult time that I began to realize there was an untapped opportunity in the trades industry—an industry that needed a solution to make work more accessible and efficient for both tradespeople and customers.
At the time, I had built a successful pest control business but still struggled to find consistent work. Like many small business owners, I found traditional advertising platforms expensive, ineffective, and frustrating. It quickly became clear that there was a real need for a new, affordable, and effective platform that could connect skilled tradespeople—whether plumbers, electricians, or carpenters—with customers in a seamless and convenient way.
This is where Dee came in. After my journey in the gym, I met Dee, and as we started discussing what we both do, our shared vision for the future of the trades industry began to take shape. Dee, the brains behind the app, was instrumental in turning our ideas into a reality. While I understood the pain points of the trades market firsthand, Dee brought the technical expertise to build an app that could revolutionise the way tradespeople operate and how customers connect with them.
Together, we created Tradze—an innovative app designed to offer fast, reliable service. With Tradze, customers can instantly connect with a local tradesperson and track their arrival in real time. They can also manage quotes, invoices, and other details, all within the same platform.
